Psalm 57:7-8 (KJV)
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

Psalm 108:1-2 (KJV)
1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

Psalm 112:1-7 (KJV)
1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

Is your heart fixed? In translation, the word fixed means to be established, prepared, made ready, or to be certained. In nautical terms it means to be anchored. Trusting the Lord requires you to have your heart fixed so that you will not be persuaded to doubt. The Psalmist so trusted the Lord that he wanted to sing and give praise to God when he awoke early in the morning. He did not fear the day of what it may bring to him because his fear was only in the Lord and he knew that he was blessed. When your heart is fixed you “just” know that everything is going to be alright. You love the Word of the Lord because it gives you the assurance that you will be blessed. When your heart is fixed upon trusting the Lord it says that wealth and riches are in the house. So much so, that your life becomes the light in the darkness to those who are around you. You are the one that is full of compassion, righteousness, and shows favor to others. No matter what circumstances or set-backs you may experience you do not drift too far with worry and fret because your heart is fixed. There is an old song that says, “I’ve anchored my soul to the rock Christ Jesus.” Praise ye the Lord, your heart is fixed, and you are blessed. Blessings flow to those whose heart is fixed, trusting the Lord.
