Judges 2:7 (KJV)
7 And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.

Judges 2:10-12 (KJV)
10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.
11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

Yesterday I alluded to these scriptures and the impact is still disturbing my soul today. During Joshua’s lifetime and the other elders, they witnessed miraculous events from the time of the exodus from Egypt to living in Canaan land. The observed the miraculous event of the Lord splitting the waters of the Red Sea and the land beneath being dry so that all Israel could walk through on dry ground and then bringing the waters together again to destroy the army of Pharaoh. How the Lord lead them through the wilderness and feeding all Israel with manna that fell from the heavens, as well as quail and causing water to emerge from a rock. These historical events were being handed down to those of the next generation. Now the time had come when those who witnessed these events had passed on and the only thing that remained were stories surrounding the youth. It wasn’t long until the stories were only folk tales and soon forgotten. The generations were growing up not really knowing who the Lord was and his great works. There is a trend that is becoming more and more prevalent in our day and time that our youth are growing up without a true knowledge of who the Lord is. Join with me in prayer for the younger generation to come into the knowledge of the Lord. Pray that our faith will spark a revival of miracles that the younger generation can witness the mighty works of God. Let the blessings we receive every day open doors of opportunity that our youth can see the great works of the Lord Jesus Christ. Receive your blessings and share with those around you.

1 John 5:13-15 (KJV)
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

There is power in the name of Jesus. His name is the authority. How many remember when you were young, and you began to act out, but someone said, “I am going to tell your Father.” That straightened you right up because you knew the consequences if he got involved. Well that is how it works in the universe. If you ask anything according to his will, he will hear you, and you know without question that you will receive what you have asked of him. It is the “according to his will” that is the key to receiving. James wrote, “Ye ask, and received not, because you ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” Is what you are asking in agreement with the plan of God? Or is it for selfish gain? The New Living Translation generalizes it by saying, “anything that pleases him”. Make sure when you begin to ask for things that it lines up with God’s purpose. Healing is one of those things that lines up with God’s purpose or plan. If you are sick, just ask and believe. Jesus allowed himself to be beaten with stripes upon his back so that you could have healing. There is never a time it is the will of God for you to live with disease or sickness. You only need to ask once, then have confidence that he heard your petition, and trust that he will answer by thanking him until the answer has been made clear. Then the Lord will bless you one day with everything that you desire. Receive your blessings today, today may be the day that you receive the answers to your requests.

Romans 12:1-3 (KJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Paul is writing to the Romans about pleasing God because of his mercies. Offering your ordinary, everyday life to God. That means everything you do, your waking up, your breakfast, dinner, and supper (also those other snacks you will not confess to), your time of work or retirement, every step that you take offer it to the Lord, and even the laying down at night to sleep. Stay focused on the Lord. When you go about your daily activities do not conform or adapt to the way the world thinks about the way you should conduct yourself. Renew your mind daily with the word, focus your attention on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will know what the Lord wants and be willing to follow through. When you focus on the immaturity of the world you will spin in your tracks, but the Lord will bring the best out of you and develop you. The Message Bible makes this statement, “The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.” We are living in the pure grace of the Lord. Separating yourself from the world is an act of courage to walk a path that is not readily hewed for travel. It is an adventure of faith, trusting the Lord with every aspect of your life from the time you wake up until the time you wake up again. The blessings flow to give you the strength to make each step. Receive your blessings today because the next step could place you in the answer you have been waiting for.
