1 John 5:13-15 (KJV)
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

There is power in the name of Jesus. His name is the authority. How many remember when you were young, and you began to act out, but someone said, “I am going to tell your Father.” That straightened you right up because you knew the consequences if he got involved. Well that is how it works in the universe. If you ask anything according to his will, he will hear you, and you know without question that you will receive what you have asked of him. It is the “according to his will” that is the key to receiving. James wrote, “Ye ask, and received not, because you ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” Is what you are asking in agreement with the plan of God? Or is it for selfish gain? The New Living Translation generalizes it by saying, “anything that pleases him”. Make sure when you begin to ask for things that it lines up with God’s purpose. Healing is one of those things that lines up with God’s purpose or plan. If you are sick, just ask and believe. Jesus allowed himself to be beaten with stripes upon his back so that you could have healing. There is never a time it is the will of God for you to live with disease or sickness. You only need to ask once, then have confidence that he heard your petition, and trust that he will answer by thanking him until the answer has been made clear. Then the Lord will bless you one day with everything that you desire. Receive your blessings today, today may be the day that you receive the answers to your requests.

Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

John 14:13-14 (KJV)
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

There is healing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. By invoking the name there is power over the sickness or disease. The Psalmist David wrote, “I will praise thee: for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” In the book of Genesis tells the story of the creation of man. God fashioned man after his likeness and his image without any blemish. It was when man sinned that caused the downhill spiral of being able to live life eternally. The plan of God was to robe himself in flesh to reinstitute eternal life back to man through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus walked upon this earth his ministry gave us the greatest example of the kind of ministry he wanted his believers to follow. Before he ascended Jesus spoke that all power was given to him in heaven and in earth. Then he commissioned those who were there at the time of the ascension that he would invoke the power of the Holy Ghost in their lives to carry on the ministry. The book of Acts is exactly as it is named. It is the acts of the Apostles continuing the ministry of Jesus Christ under the authority of his name. In Acts chapter three is the first healing recorded that was performed by Peter by invoking the name of Jesus Christ over a lame man. The man was instantly healed. It was not long before people were experiencing the same signs and wonders at the hands of the apostles. Their faith was soaring to an all time high insomuch that people were brought to the streets in hopes that the shadow of Peter would walk by and they would be healed. Healing was just a small part of their ministry; their major purpose was to reconcile the world back to God through the blood of Jesus Christ by the receiving of the Holy Ghost. The Lord is still pouring out his blessings of healing, but it is our faith in the name that begins the flow. Receive your blessings today, invoke the name over your life, and believe; you shall receive whatsoever you ask.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Matthew 26:39-44 (KJV)
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Isaiah prophetically spoke of the sufferings Jesus that would incur. Jesus fulfilled the prophesy of all the suffering he went through; he was beaten, mocked, and spit upon. Though he prayed if there was some way he would not have to drink the cup he was still willing. Jesus knew the cup he was to drink was to take upon himself all the sins of the past, present, and future, but he was willing to do what was necessary so that we would receive the blessings that would come because of his death. Peter alludes to the prophesy and the reason for the death of Jesus. As the blessings are flowing into your life, remember the reason. Remember every blessing passes through the blood of Jesus Christ. Receive your blessings today and walk with praise in your heart.
