Romans 13:10-14 (KJV)
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

The way the world is going is far from fulfilling the law. We have seen too many scenes when someone decides to cowardly shoot other human beings catching them totally unaware. Hiding until they do the terrible act of murder then on many occasions taking their own life, so they do not have to face the consequences of their actions. In the last days, Paul wrote to Timothy that perilous times were coming. Men would be lovers of their own selves, trucebreakers, false accusers, fierce, despise people who are good, traitors, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, and more. Paul writing to the Romans let them know that it would not be long before they would enter into the dark ages and the Christians of that time needed to put on their armor of light. There were centuries that were considered dark following the decline of the Roman Empire because of the deterioration of demographic, cultural, economic, and spiritual occurrences in Western Europe. It is as if history is rewriting itself during our modern technology. More and more movies are being produced with some kind of mindset that the world is going to be overrun by some other country or even more fictional, “aliens”. The news is trying to instill fear in our hearts with ideas of other countries creating weapons of mass destruction that will bring a nuclear holocaust. Yet with all this information the news does not tell you to put on your armor of light and walk honestly. They do not tell you to stop being involved in rebellion and intoxication, stop living in sensual sins, desiring what you should not lust after, and stop creating strife and envy amongst yourselves. They definitely are not telling you to put on the Lord Jesus Christ to escape all this corruption and lusts. Paul stood out in his day like a beacon. Are you going to be a beacon in your time and let your light shine bright as the world grows darker with its wickedness? Will you be a part of the revival that is symbolic of the reformation that ended that time of darkness to bring to an end the current darkness? The blessings that are flowing are what the Lord knows you need to face the end of days. The Lord is coming soon. Receive the blessings so you will be able to stand in the evil day and be an instrument of revival until He calls us home to be with Him.

Morning Devotion 10/29/2017

Psalm 1:1-6 (KJV)
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Such an appropriate Psalm for a Sunday. Today many will be gathering together with others of like faith. It is a blessing of happiness to be in a place where you can receive godly counsel. A place where the purpose is to have an open the door to those who are sinners to find their way to the Lord Jesus Christ. And to sit among those who enjoy the presence of the Lord and delight in hearing the Word. That the Word is their way of life not just on Sunday but every day and night it is their mediation. This way of life causes you to be like a tree that is planted near the rivers of water bringing forth fruit. This analogy reminds me of the words of Jesus when he spoke to the Samaritan woman that He was the living water. When we are planted in Jesus because he is the vine and we are the branches then the living water flows through us. As the living water flows into our lives we will bring forth fruit and whatsoever we do will prosper. Using the analogy of the tree, when people gather together on Sunday they are not alone but together they form a forest. A forest where the unrighteousness life changes because they are in the presence of the Lord. The forest is a place where you can see and hear the sound of wind. When the wind blows the leaves of the trees begin to move under its power. What does that remind you of? It reminds me of the day of Pentecost where a hundred and twenty gathered together not sure what to expect; when there came a sound from heaven like a rushing might wind and it filled the place where they were sitting. Trees and fire do not mix but a miraculous event takes place. The Spirit of the Lord sits upon each one like fire, but they are not destroyed. Once they were a lifeless dead tree but now they are strong fruit bearing trees under the influence of the Spirit of God. Let the Spirit of the Lord flow into your life so that you can live prosperous bearing much fruit. Receive your blessings today that will bring your life full of happiness.

Morning Devotion 10/28/2017

Colossians 4:5-6 (KJV)
5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

There are many in this world that do not understand your stand for Christ. Paul was instructing the Colossians to look deep within their hearts to really know why they live for Jesus. Their walk with the Lord should be a life that is prudent and discretion in their relationship with those who do not know who is the Lord Jesus Christ. Also, do not to waste time when the opportunity arises to share the gospel. When they are rubbing shoulders with those who do not understand; and they start to ask you questions be ready with an answer. It is not an opportunity to be unkind but to be very pleasant in your conversation because they have given you the chance to share what the Lord has done in your life. Be gracious in your interaction because you are not in a debate. You are simply sharing your own experience. The way you live should be based on what you truly believe and not because you feel you have to live that way. You live for Jesus because He is your way of life. You choose to live the way you live. When it talks about “seasoned with salt” it is a phrase that denotes flavoring food to give it some pizzazz. There should be an excitement in your voice when you talk about what the Lord has done. Watch for those opportunities to share the blessings that flows in your life on a daily basis. Receive your blessings today, rejoice and enthusiastically share with others.
