Psalm 1:1-6 (AMP)
1 BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
2 But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
3 And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
4 Not so the wicked [those disobedient and living without God are not so]. But they are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked [those disobedient and living without God] shall not stand [justified] in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous [those who are upright and in right standing with God].
6 For the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly [those living outside God’s will] shall perish (end in ruin and come to nought).

Let today be the day you make a decision to fall in love with the Lord Jesus Christ and his ways. The world does not have the spiritual insight to lead you. Their counsel is filled with selfishness and lusty desires. Spiritual guidance is found in the Word of God and through a relationship with Savior of your soul. He is the vine and you are the branch. Together you are like a tree that is planted by the flowing streams of living water that give you the sustenance that is needed to bear fruit. Your prosperity comes from the Lord. Your blessings flow from heaven; from the throne straight to you. Receive your blessings today.

Jehovah-elohim

Deuteronomy 10:17 (KJV)
17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

We serve an awesome God. He is before all things because he is eternal; the beginning and the end. He is the source of all things because he is the creator; the world was framed by the word of God. He upholds all things; he is the sustainer of all that he created. He is omniscience because he knows all the things; the past, the present, and the future. He is omnipresence because he fills the whole earth with his glory. The Psalmist David said there is nowhere he can go, and the Lord God is not there. God is a Spirit and he is everywhere. He is omnipotent; all powerful and there is nothing too hard for the Lord. With men things can be impossible but with God all things are possible. He is the one and only true God who robed himself in flesh. Paul wrote to Timothy, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” There is only one who fits these criteria:  The Lord Jesus Christ. In the end time he will sit upon a white horse and will be called Faithful and True, his eyes are as a flame of fire, his wears a vesture dipped in blood and he is also called The Word of God, on the vesture and on his thigh is written, King of kings, and Lord of Lords. We serve an awesome God. He is the giver of all blessings. Worship and glorify him today and receive your blessings.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 (TLB)
1 You may as well know this too, Timothy, that in the last days it is going to be very difficult to be a Christian.
2 For people will love only themselves and their money; they will be proud and boastful, sneering at God, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful to them, and thoroughly bad.
3 They will be hardheaded and never give in to others; they will be constant liars and troublemakers and will think nothing of immorality. They will be rough and cruel, and sneer at those who try to be good.
4 They will betray their friends; they will be hotheaded, puffed up with pride, and prefer good times to worshiping God.
5 They will go to church, yes, but they won’t really believe anything they hear. Don’t be taken in by people like that.
6 They are the kind who craftily sneak into other people’s homes and make friendships with silly, sin-burdened women and teach them their new doctrines.
7 Women of that kind are forever following new teachers, but they never understand the truth.

These scriptures are being fulfilled as you read the headlines of the newspapers across the country. All the news channels bring stories into homes of something that resembles the very things that Paul was warning Timothy about. I am not sure if Paul really understood the impact of what he was saying. He was seeing the beginnings of such things in his day, but it is so much more prevalent in our day. The youth of our day are so cynical against their parents and society in general it is almost frightening. The words that were written thousands of years ago in the book of Judges could almost be said today, And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.”  It is true that we live in a world that is full of people who love themselves and their search for great wealth and success. There is nothing wrong with being successful unless you deny God and your faith. The shame of being in the last days is those who are rich and increased with goods and feel they have no need of anything; fail to hear the knock at the door and the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ as he desires to come into their hearts. Our traditional society is full of those who dress up to go to church, sit for the time allotted but really not hearing, and go home steeped in their own ideologies continuing to live as they have always lived. Some move from one place to another when something does not suit them and never understanding the truth of God’s Word. These last days are full of people who are not thankful for the blessings that are given every day. Receive your blessings and be thankful and live to understand the truth of God’s Word.
