Morning Devotion 01/28/2018

Acts 2:37 (NKJV)
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

Today many will be getting up to get ready for church. Sundays, at many of the households, are almost always the same because they are on a time schedule so that those who are attending a regular assembly will not be late. Although there will be those who are always there the last minute or even late but that is their nature. When is the last time you sat listening to a message from a pastor, evangelist, or teacher that moved your heart to the degree that your soul cried out, “Lord, what should I do?” It does not have to be a pew in a church. You can be anywhere listening to someone pour their heart out from the Word of God in hopes that your heart will be stirred. I have heard several messages from speakers that posted their message on You Tube or Facebook that were very stirring and thought provoking. They all have something in common; they studied and prayed for hours hoping they were sensitive to the Spirit of God to preach what they honestly feel is what they received from the Lord to give to you. I know there are some speakers that are not so eloquent, but the importance is not the orator, but the message. During the time of listening ask the Lord what it is He is saying to you. Do not take a shovel with you so that you can pass what is preached to someone else, but bring a heart that is willing to be filled with instruction from the Lord. You will be blessed. Receive your blessings today to be strengthened to fulfill what it is you should do.
