Jeremiah 30:17 (KJV)
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

James 5:13-16 (KJV)
13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

James shared a process for those who are afflicted or sick. He said if you have a sickness to call for the elders of the church. Elders is a term used for those who are older with a maturity of faith to believe in healing. He also equated that sickness could be because of unconfessed sin and once you receive forgiveness then there is healing for the soul and body. Confessing your faults with one another does not mean the initial act of repentance but when there is an offense towards each other there needs to be a healing in the relationship. Holding a grudge against someone is not good for your health. The Lord wants to restore health and heal your wounds. He is no respecter of persons so no matter who you are lift up your voice in prayer, clear the path of any unconfessed sins, and make things right with those whom you have wronged or who have wronged you. After Solomon had built the house of the Lord and prayed the Lord replied with this statement, “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.” The Lord is ready to perform the blessings of healing but your responsibility is to be humble, pray, seek his face and turn from your ways of sin. Receive your blessings today.
